I worked on this idea for a facebook application that was put on the shelf. I really liked the look and feel of this. Hopefully, in the future people on facebook will be able to check it out.
I have been involved on an internship with a close friend who is also my mechanic. He works on vintage Volvo's. http://www.xrayautomotive.com/ I own two 1967 122's.I took some photos at the shop and thought they turned out pretty interesting. Here's a couple I took and edited in photoshop.
Working on my UI skills in flash, made this media player imported the carbon texture. Thought it turned out pretty good. Need to get some actionscript going to get it functional.
Our annual Dia de los Mertos celebration has come to an end. This is an image I created for invitations I sent out that was influenced by some imagery that I saw when I visited Oaxaca, Mexico over the summer. It was an amazing place. I look forward to visiting there again.
This is the same idea, a test to create 2D assets in Flash and I just added a simple animation to it. I may push this one further since I do have some time to myself, we'll see.
I've been working on this animation for a few months, Seemed like it would never be complete, or as complete as I have it at this point. With animation, there's always more to tweak, tweaking may never end. I'm really happy with this piece. I'd like to thank my buddy Mike Baran (http://baranarts.com/thebsides/) for his encouragement and awesome feedback.
I found these pieces of scrap cardbord and started drawing my favorite subject... Girls! Some more images that I created in photoshop an illustrator. Here are the sketches and final piece.
UI Designer for the Turn10 Studios at Microsoft. I impliemented comps and ideas from the UI lead and created graphic elements for the GUI of the game, Forza 2. Here are some examples.
At Bellevue College, I worked with students importing music and animating to the music. the focus was timing. This was a pretty fun exercise. Don't judge me on the song, I used it as an example... =)
I find that when people are looking for my demo reel on my website that they run into issues of either finding it or downloading it. I'm posting it here on my blog so you can just click and watch, easy peasy! Note: This is a compressed version. So when you view it large it will look grainy.
Worked on this lift animation. I think the timing looks good and the weight works as well, but as I always say. I could tweak it forever. Animation never comes to an end..
This is a fun animation I worked on using a rig that a friend created. They needed some testing don on this to see if I could move it around and it srill look good. I did a walk with him too, I'll post it as well.
This was an animarion that I worked on a while ago. I felt that it turned out pretty solid. I could continue to tweak forever as with anything else but I thought I should move forward.
Can't stop working with these UI elements, there's always more stuff I can learn to make them look cooler.
Some more UI element's. Always trying to push myself to create some cool stuff. Always a learner.
These were logo's that I handdrawn and then I reworked them in photoshop and illustrator to sett them up for print. I really liked the elements and flow of these.
Logo's! I really like working on logo ideas, here are a few I worked on. these logos were created in illustrator, comped out in photoshop. Check out http://www.emedtv.com/. I redesigned their website.
Modeled this in maya, going for a more realistic look for this model. Really need to work on the body for this.
Took me a while to work and rework this head. Using some zbrush for this but mostly smoothing and manipulating edges. Modeled in maya.
Another concept model for a racing game idea. i really liked the way this one turned out. The texture sheet really brought it to life. Again, maya and photoshop.
beening teaching Flash at Bellevue College and had an assignment where we traced a character using the different tools in flash. Thought it would be a fun assignment for students and created one for myself.
Followed this tutorial online and created these buggy looking eyes, really liked them and decided to make it a bit more fun. I also did the fonts and the layout. the font is an existing supefly logo that I thought I would try to recreate.
It's been a while since I did some animation and I need to keep pushing that in order to find that perfect animation job. Been getting some great feedback from a friend of mine. He's been a great help. Here's a walk sequence I did. It's short but you can loop it.
I worked on an idea for this annual event. I primarily worked this idea in photoshop and imported the images into InDesign and added text to it, here are my poster idea.
